Pigs running loose in Kanawha County are being relocated

In Kanawha County, more than two dozen pigs are being relocated after reports of the animals running loose and damaging property in Diamond. Deputies say a woman has been charged with a misdemeanor for second-offense livestock trespassing after pigs were found roaming outside her Rockwood Avenue property. Investigators say she’d been working with a rescue group to move the animals. The sheriff’s office says it’s continuing to help state agriculture officials and the Humane Association with the relocation. None of the pigs appeared neglected or abused.
