A West Virginia teacher is facing charges after allegedly assaulting a student during a fight at Summers County High School. Deputies say 42-year-old Ashley McMillan of Hinton was charged Monday with child abuse resulting in injury by a person in a position of trust and one count of battery. The charges stem from an incident Friday when McMillan intervened in a fight between two students and allegedly assaulted one of them. The Summers County Sheriff’s Office says the investigation is ongoing.
