Airline passengers should prepare for crowds during the holiday week

Holiday travel is picking up, and West Virginia International Yeager Airport is preparing for a busy season.

Airport officials expect about 7,800 passengers to travel through Yeager between December 18th and January 1st. TSA and airport staff are reminding travelers to arrive early and be prepared for longer lines.

Airport CEO Dominique Ranieri says higher passenger volumes are a positive sign and could lead to more direct flights in the future.

TSA also reminds travelers to bring a valid ID, including a REAL ID or passport, and have it ready to help keep lines moving smoothly.
