A fire displaced several people at a Ripley building Friday morning. The fire was reported in the 200 block of South Church Street about 4:15 a.m. Friday. Officials said no injuries were reported in the incident. The blaze left nine residents of five apartments without a home and also damaged four businesses. The street in that area is expected to be closed for an extended period of time. No details were immediately available on what caused the blaze.
