A contract between a local emergency service organization and major heath care provider was announced Friday.The Kanawha County Emergency Ambulance Authority and Highmark BlueCross BlueShield have made an agreement regarding Highmark’s reimbursements for KCEAA’s services, according to a news release from the authority. The release noted the agreement abandons a KCEAA proposal that would have canceled its contract with Highmark in 2026. As a result, those insured by Highmark will not experience disruptions to ambulance services.
