Winter storm warning for Sat 12-13

Friday’s snow only caused minor problems but weekend weather is likely to produce serious travel issues and increase heart attack concerns for those trying to dig out from the storm. Division of Highways plows and salt trucks kept pace with light snow Friday. While there were still some slick spots on rural roads, most of the problems had melted away by later morning and previously slushy roads turned dry by the afternoon hours. Large chunks of West Virginia – with more snow to the north – are looking at a winter storm warning this afternoon into Sunday followed by plunging temperatures.
