Three people were arrested early Tuesday morning after a police chase in Barboursville.
Police say officers attempted a traffic stop around 1:30 a.m. at the Tanyard Station Sheetz, but the driver refused to cooperate, rammed a Barboursville police cruiser, and fled the scene.
The vehicle was later stopped at an apartment complex on Main Street. Two passengers were taken into custody without incident. The driver, identified as 24-year-old Tyreese Cook of Detroit, ran from police and was eventually found hiding near Hash Ridge Road with the help of a K-9 and thermal imaging.
Cook faces multiple charges, including fleeing and felony destruction of property, and was wanted on an out-of-state warrant. The passengers were also taken to jail, though their charges have not been released.
