Huntington Police arrested a man after a police chase involving several agencies. It began just after 1 a.m. Saturday, when an officer attempted a traffic stop near 28th Street and 8th Avenue.
The driver, identified as 32-year-old Deontae Hale, refused to stop and led officers south on 28th Street before heading onto Route 60, driving erratically and swerving into oncoming traffic.
The pursuit continued into Barboursville, with assistance from the Cabell County Sheriff’s Office and Barboursville Police.
Hale was eventually taken into custody at the 31st Street Bridge exit ramp and faces several charges.
