Deputies seek tips in a hit-and-run accident that left a postal worker injured

Deputies in Kanawha County are searching for surveillance video after a hit-and-run crash in St. Albans involving a U.S. Postal Service truck that left one person injured.

The crash happened Wednesday in the 12000 block of Coal River Road. Investigators say an older model red Subaru Outback hit the mail truck head-on, injuring the postal driver and heavily damaging both vehicles.

The Subaru then fled the scene. Deputies believe the vehicle has heavy front-end damage and may have been smoking after the crash.

Anyone with information or surveillance video is asked to contact Sgt. JR Coleman at the Kanawha County Sheriff’s Office.
