Tire tracks lead investigators to Logan County suspects

Two men were arrested Friday in a Logan County theft investigation, including one suspect with an extensive criminal history.

West Virginia State Police say 48-year-old James Russell Robinson is charged with grand larceny, breaking and entering, conspiracy, and destruction of property related to a separate warrant. Troopers say Robinson has more than 50 prior felony theft-related charges.

Jason Allen Akers is charged with conspiracy.

Troopers responded to a breaking and entering complaint on Kelly Hollow Road in Blair, where tire tracks led investigators to a vehicle in Laurel Hollow. About 47-hundred dollars in stolen property was recovered.

Robinson is being held at the Southwestern Regional Jail on a 30-thousand-dollar bond.
