Emergency personnel said a woman was able to escape a vehicle fire in Cabell County Friday morning.The incident was reported about 10:30 a.m. along Mud River Road in Milton, according to a 911 alert. Crews on scene told WCHS a driver swerved to miss a deer and ran off a hillside, overturning an SUV. Investigators said the vehicle caught fire and the woman was helped from the wreckage. Firefighters were quick to extinguish the flames. Emergency crews said the woman was not seriously injured. Dispatchers said West Virginia State Police were assisted on scene by Cabell County EMS and firefighters from Milton and Culloden.
