A St. Albans man previously convicted of murder faces a new charge

A man previously convicted of murder is now facing new charges, according to the St. Albans Police Department.

Thomas Redding of Dunbar, has been charged with second-degree sexual assault. Police say they met with an alleged victim on Feb. 10 about an encounter at a home in St. Albans.

According to investigators, despite multiple attempts to stop the encounter, Redding allegedly continued the sexual intrusion.

Authorities also noted Redding was convicted of second-degree murder in Cabell County in 2015. He is currently being held at the South Central Regional Jail on a $25,000 cash bond.
