A Nitro man is facing attempted murder charges after police say he fired shots during a domestic dispute early Monday morning. Officers were called to a home just after four a.m. after a woman reported locking herself in a bedroom while her husband tried to break down the door. Court records say 77-year-old Warren Bruce Crowder fired four shots into the door, knowing his wife was just feet away. Police found bullet holes near the deadbolt and doorknob. Crowder is charged with attempted murder and four counts of wanton endangerment, and is being held on a fifty-thousand-dollar bond.
