The National Weather Service has issued the warning for Kanawha, Boone, Raleigh, Clay and parts of Fayette and Nicholas counties through 9 p.m. Monday. Most other counties south of Roane, Calhoun and Braxton remain under winter weather advisories. Officials expect 3-5 inches of snow to have fallen by the end of the evening with some areas seeing higher amounts in the areas under the warning.
