Federal prosecutors announced sentencing Monday for a Charleston man and woman convicted in a sex-trafficking conspiracy involving multiple victims, including a minor. 49-year old Tiwan Robert “Quick” Bailey was sentenced to 25 years in federal prison followed by five years of supervised release. A jury found Bailey guilty on multiple counts, including sex trafficking by force, fraud, or coercion, sex trafficking of a minor, conspiracy, and obstruction of justice. Co-defendant 52-year old Carrie Ash Roy received a 10-year sentence after being convicted of sex trafficking a minor and conspiracy. Prosecutors say the crimes occurred near Charleston and Rand between November 2023 and January 2024. Bailey later fled the state but was captured by U.S. Marshals in Kentucky.
U.S. Attorney Moore Capito credited law enforcement and the victims, saying the community will be safer for years to come.
