Of the 55 counties in West Virginia, Logan County is the only one currently in red under the state’s new color-coded metric system. Health officials in the county said Friday there is a lot of work to do in the community, but they’re hopeful things can get better in the coming weeks. Sept. 8, if Logan is still in red or orange on the color-coded map, then it would have to start the school year off with virtual learning.
