Arrest Made in Elkins Arson Case

The West Virginia State Fire Marshal’s Office has been investigating an arson case in Elkins. Timothy McDonald is custody after investigators said he tried to burn his own house down. The fire happened July 14 on Upper Isner Creek Road and caused about $17,000 in damage. Investigators with the State Fire Marshal’s Office ruled that it was intentionally set, and McDonald faces first degree arson charges.
