Mason and Hartford City have decided to combine resources and create a metro police department. An intergovernmental agreement will have Hartford paying Mason for police services, and the Mason Police Department will have jurisdiction over Hartford.The town of Hartford has been without a police department since the passing of their police chief Samuel Anderson last fall. The agreement will be signed on Monday, April 15, at the Mason Town Hall.
