Justice agrees to reside in Charleston

The long running legal battle over where Governor Justice resides has been settled. Justice has agreed to live in the seat of state government in Charleston. A judge dismissed the 2018 lawsuit filed by former state lawmaker Isaac Sponaugle, who received 65-thousand-dollars in attorney’s fees.

Flood warnings continue

The National Weather Service is extending flood warnings for some area today as water continues to rise. West Virginia Gets Money for Affordable Housing

U.S. Sens. Joe Manchin and Shelley Moore Capito of West Virginia said federal awards totaling over $47.7 million will go to the state for addressing affordable housing and homelessness. The 51 funding awards from the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development will go to city and county housing authorities and other local groups.

High Water Rescues are Reported Monday

High water and mudslides were reported across the region Monday as several inches of rain fell across the widespread area. 5-Year Old Boy is Taken to the Hospital After Being Shot in the Leg

Charleston police are investigating after a 5-year-old boy was shot in the leg. Investigators said it happened in a parked vehicle in the 100 block of Kanawha Boulevard East.
