Hurricane residents approve levy

Hurricane residents voted in favor of continuing a levy to fund paving projects and police programs. The levy was first introduced more than 70-years ago, and provides the city with more than 400-thousand-dollars annually.

RISE WV completes 3 more homes

RISE West Virginia has completed three more home projects, bringing the total to over one-hundred-eleven projects completed. There are nearly 370-cases still active under RISE after the June 2016 flood.

Bill introduced in memory of Alex Miller

A bill known as the Alex Miller Law has been introduced in the West Virginia Legislature. The bill would require an automated external defibrillator to be present at all high school and middle school athletic events. Miller died during a Roane County High School football game.

Teacher’s aide charged with battery
