JV Game Dunk Shatters the Backboard

In the middle of Tuesday night’s junior varsity game with George Washington, a Riverside High School boys basketball player rebounded a ball, came down for a dunk and the backboard shattered. Glass didn’t fall because of break protection, but the remainder of the game was canceled. 14-year-old Braydin Ward made the dunk.

Man hurt in Lesage shooting

A man is recovering after he was shot in the arm in the Lesage area. The victim was checking on his father’s property, because of issues with trespassers, when someone fired shots from a vehicle. No arrests have been made.
