Charleston gardening group connects veterans and helps give them a green thumb

An organization that helps veterans has expanded to downtown Charleston. The group Patriots Guardens help veterans connect with each other through gardening and they do workforce development trainings. The organization’s new Base Innovations facility on Smith Street opened last week. Patriot Guardens also offers classes for gardening, sustainable farming and other agricultural skills.
