The Tazewell Police Department is shut down due to an increase of COVID cases within the department. Investigators are working from home, but officers are being instructed to stay out of the building and away from each other to slow the spread of the virus.

Natural gas prices climbing

It will cost more to keep warm this winter. Mountaineer Gas is asking for a more the 34-percent rate increase, and Hope Gas-Dominion Energy is asking for a 17-percent increase. Many smaller supply companies are also asking the PSC for rate hike approval.
