Governor Justice hosting Day of Prayer

Today is a day of prayer across West Virginia. Governor Justice will host a prayer service at noon today. Religious leaders from several faiths will take part. It will be live streamed on YouTube, Facebook, and Twitter, and will also air on the West Virginia Public Broadcasting Channel.

Charleston Town Center closed

Charleston Town Center is closing most of its operations, after the governor’s order to shut down all non-essential businesses. Some restaurants will remain open for take-out and delivery.

Nursing Home Patients Test Positive for COVID-19

The medical director at a Morgantown nursing home said Tuesday that multiple residents and staff members have been diagnosed with coronavirus. West Virginia will open the men’s basketball season next fall with four consecutive homes games. Courts Make Changes to Schedules

Kanawha County Circuit Court Chief Judge Charles King issued an administrative order this week that will postpone preliminary hearings for defendants who are not incarcerated. Huntington Mall Closes Temporarily

The Huntington Mall announced it will shut down temporarily to slow the spread of the coronavirus, but essential businesses will remain open. Best Buy and National Tire & Battery will remain open because they are considered essential. Some restaurants are open too for pickup or delivery. All mall activities through April 24 have been cancelled.
