The Rocket Boys Festival is being held virtually this year. The three-day event starts tomorrow. Author Homer Hickam will lead Zoom discussion on creative writing and motivation discussion with kids.

The trial for a man accused of murder, carjacking, and an officer-involved shooting, is being pushed backed to next month. Joshua Drennen’s trial is being delayed because a criminal responsibility evaluation is not complete. Results of the evaluation are expected by the end of the week.

A man wanted in a Pike County shooting is under arrest. Patrick Jackson evaded deputies for most of the day on Monday before being taken into custody at a home in Cynthiana. He’s accused of shooting a man on Greenridge Road. The victim is in serious condition.

Nearly one-hundred people are under arrest in an operation targeting violent gang crime. The U.S. Marshals Service and local law enforcement agencies conducted a month long operation and arrested five gang members, three people accused of murder, and found three missing children from California.

The trial for man accused of brutally killing an elderly woman and trying to kill a Charleston police officer has been pushed back until next month. The founder of Murray Energy, Bob Murray, died over the weekend. His death comes just days after announcing his retirement as chairman of the board of directors. He recently filed for black lung benefits, saying he was heavily dependent on oxygen and “near death.” Murray was 80-years-old.
