Two correctional officers at a Boone County juvenile detention center are under arrest for helping an inmate escape. Eighteen-year-old Dominick McClung was being held on a murder charge, and was able to escape during a medical transport with help of the two officers. he was captured a few hours later.

A coronavirus outbreak has been reported at a nursing home in Sissonville. The Kanawha-Charleston Health Department reported 26 residents at Cedar Ridge Center have tested positive for COVID-19.
