Falling Rocks Damage Several Vehicles

Drivers heading into Charleston Thursday morning were met with a surprise after several rocks fell from the hillside. Several vehicles were damaged around 5:30 a.m. in the eastbound lanes of I-64 between the Montrose and Oakwood Rd exits. No one was injured.

Former Fire Chief Faces Fraud Charges

A former volunteer fire chief in Raleigh County has been charged with embezzlement and fraudulent schemes after prosecutors said he stole more than $130,000 from a fire department. Baseball is back at Appalachian Power Park

Baseball will be back at Appalachian Power Park this summer. The West Virginia Power is joining the Atlantic League of Professional Baseball. Teams will play a 120-game regular season that kicks off May 28th with the Power hosting the Southern Maryland Blue Crabs.

WV signs trade deal with Vietnam

Governor Justice and West Virginia Congresswoman Carol Miller took part in a virtual signing of a trade and investment deal between West Virginia and Vietnam. The agreement includes exporting coal, natural gas, mining equipment and hardwoods to Vietnam.

Gov. Justice holds 2nd town hall on eliminating state income tax

Governor Justice held a second town hall to answer question and concerns about his proposal to eliminate the state income tax. The governor says the sales tax will not go up to ten-percent. There will be additional taxes on soda and tobacco, increased severance taxes, and taxes on professional services to fill the gap.

Man arrested for dragging woman with car

A Clarksburg man is under arrest for dragging a woman and running over her with his car. The victims suffered serious leg injuries and required hundreds of stitches. Twenty-five-year-old Joseph Bunnell is charged with an accident involving serious bodily injury, and failure to stop.

Chemical fire at Forensics Lab

One person was hurt in a chemical explosion and small fire at the state Police Forensics Lab in South Charleston. The victim received chemical burns and the building filled with smoke. Officials are investigating.
