COVID-19 is Major Concern at West Virginia Nursing Homes

A West Virginia nursing home with at least 20 coronavirus cases has become the epicenter for the state’s growing caseload. National Guard assisting with coronavirus response

About one-hundred West Virginia National Guard Members are assisting local hospitals and first responders, and helping move supplies around the state. The National Guard was activated when Governor Justice declared a State of Emergency and issued a stay-at-home order.

Governor Justice hosting Day of Prayer

Today is a day of prayer across West Virginia. Governor Justice will host a prayer service at noon today. Religious leaders from several faiths will take part. It will be live streamed on YouTube, Facebook, and Twitter, and will also air on the West Virginia Public Broadcasting Channel.

Charleston Town Center closed

Charleston Town Center is closing most of its operations, after the governor’s order to shut down all non-essential businesses. Some restaurants will remain open for take-out and delivery.
