A Kenna man, who confessed to murdering his wife, will spend twenty-years in prison. James Kiser pleaded guilty to killing his wife after she told him she wanted a divorce following years of abuse.

Man arrested for holding couple hostage

A Cross Lanes man is under arrest for holding a couple hostage in his mobile home. It was a drug deal gone wrong. Thirty-four-year-old Jonathan Brewer held the couple at gunpoint and fired at least one shot. Brewer is accused of sexually assaulting the female victim.

Man pleads guilty to defrauding FEMA

A Charleston man is pleading guilty to defrauding the federal government out of 2016 disaster relief funds. Forty-six-year-old Randall Butler admitted to applying for FEMA relief funds, even though he knew he wasn’t eligible because he’d received rent payments from another agency. Butler faces up to thirty-years in prison.
