Library open in Charleston Town Center

The Kanawha Public Library is now open in its temporary location at Charleston Town Center. The library will be at the mall for about two-years while their Capitol Street building undergoes a 24-million-dollar renovation.

17 new COVID-19 cases in WV

There are seventeen new cases of COVID-19 in West Virginia, for a total of over 29-hundred. The positive test rate is up slightly to around one-point-seven-percent.

Governor Justice balances state budget

Governor Justice is moving money around to balance the state budget. Most of the money was moved from Medicaid funding to the general budget to cover the nearly 200-million-dollar shortfall. There won’t be any cuts to Medicaid, because of additional money from the federal government.

Face masks required on KRT buses

Starting Sunday, drivers and passengers on KRT buses will be required to wear face masks. If you don’t have one, the driver will give you a free mask. Official say it’s “prudent” to slow down the spread of COVID-19.
