Governor not worried about financial predictions

Governor Justice says he’s not worried about the state’s ability to pay its bills, despite a dire financial report. Moody’s analytics report on financial stress forecasts a one-point-three-billion-dollar revenue shortfall in West Virginia, and it could be as high as a one-point-nine-billion-dollars. Justice says he still believes the state will receive federal relief funds.

Gov. Justice wants day care centers to reopen

Governor Justice is asking day care centers to open as soon as possible. Hospitals are getting set to resume elective procedures, and child care needs to be available for those workers. Justice says all day care workers need to be tested and monitored for COVID-19.

Marshall avaiation school on track

Construction of Marshall University’s aviation school at Yeager Airport is on schedule, despite slowdowns due to the coronavirus. The four-and-half-million-dollar construction contract will be put out for bid next month, and the project should be completed by next summer.
