Louisiana fugitive lead Milton police on chase

Milton police arrested a Louisiana man after a wild pursuit from Milton to Culloden that went through an open field and ended in an Appalachian Power substation. The man is charged with DUI and drugs. He is wanted in Louisiana for parole violation on a burglary charge.

Blue Ribbon Book Club sending books to 1st through 3rd graders

The state Department of Education’s West Virginia Blue Ribbon Book Club will distribute almost 260-thousand books to public school kids in 1st through 3rd grades. The books will be shipped by the end of this month. The summer reading program is a partnership between Marshall University and the Dollywood Foundation.
