Gov. Jim Justice will call a special session of the Legislature next week and ask lawmakers to earmark $150 million in surplus money for highway projects across all 55 counties. The governor said the state is knocking on the door of having $400 million in surplus revenue, and he wants $150 million of that used for roads for more than one hundred paving and bridge projects.
