Gov. Justice recently announced plans for the installation of eight new murals in the historic West Virginia State Capitol Rotunda. The works of art will depict iconic state scenes and landmarks at the 3rd floor level of the Rotunda. The installation process will be phased, with four semi-circular spaces above doorways first, and then four curved triangular sections supporting a dome. The murals will be installed between April and November of this year.
