Wayne County is designated as “Storm Ready” by the National Weather Service. Being Storm Ready means the county has the tools in place to warn people of severe weather early, giving them time to react. Wayne County has been preparing for this designation for the past several months. They are the 19th West Virginia County to be designated as Storm Ready by the National Weather Service.
