Two women face charges in baby’s death

Two women wanted in the 2023 overdose death of an infant in Cabell County were taken into custody earlier this month. Courtney Daniel Toney-Baylous and Jessica Rose Lindsey were wanted after a 3-year-old overdosed on fentanyl while in their care, according to court records filed in Cabell County Magistrate Court. Both of the women are charged with child neglect resulting in death. The child was the grandchild of Lindsey’s boyfriend and the daughter of Toney-Baylous. Toney-Baylous was also wanted on warrants of simple assault, petit larceny and conspiracy.
