Nearly three-thousand people were killed nationwide as a result of distracted driving. Fourteen people died on West Virginia roads.

The Secretary of State’s Office says voter registration is almost even between Democrats and Republics. The Democrats have a 12-thousand-voter advantage heading into the November 3rd election.
Early voting begins today in West Virginia, and election officials are preparing for a large turnout. There are eight early voting locations in Kanawha County. COVID-19 safety measures are in place. Voting machines are six feet apart, and are sanitized between each voter. Masks are required.
State Police are investigating an officer involved shooting in Wood County. One man is dead, his brother is under arrest, and a deputy is in the hospital. The officer got into a struggle while trying to make an arrest, and fired his gun, killing 21-year-old Paul Bailey.
