Power outage closes the courthouse on Monday

The Kanawha County Judicial Annex unexpectedly closed Monday morning due to a power outage. Officials said a transformer blew in the area and the building’s generator did not kick on, leading to the building having to close. The courthouse is expected to reopen at 9 a.m. today (Tuesday).
