McClanahan Bride reopens after 5 years

The McClanahan Bridge is now open, after it was closed five year ago due to flood damage. The new bridge crosses the Poca River along County Route 31 in Lanham, and will eliminate a nine-mile detour. The two-point-two-million-dollar expansion is part of West Virginia’s Roads to Prosperity Project.

Bomb squad called in during drug sting

Several people are under arrest after Calhoun County Sheriff’s deputies searched a Grantsville home and found drugs and an explosive device. The West Virginia State Police Bomb Response Unite disposed of the device. Four people were arrested in the drug sting operation.

St. Albans teenager missing

The Kanawha County Sheriff’s Office is looking for a St. Albans teenager who didn’t return home after visiting a friend near Jefferson. Fifteen-year-old Aryianna Brown has been missing since Wednesday. She is African-American, five-feet-five-inches tall, and weighs about 160 pounds. Gov. Justice doesn’t want COVID-19 inmates moved to WV

Governor Justice is urging the director of the U.S. Bureau of Prisons to reconsider transferring out-of-state inmates with COVID-19 to West Virginia prisons.
