Alcohol sales can start at 6 a.m. on Monday

Six a.m. alcohol sales will start on Monday. The legislature passed a bill that will allow the sale of beer and wine from 6:00 a.m. to 2:00 a.m. every day. Retail outlets can sell liquor between 8:00 a.m. and 12:00 a.m., Monday through Saturday, and on Sunday from 1:00 p.m. to 12:00 a.m.

Huntington Fire Chief takes the stand in opioid trial

Six more COVID-19 deaths in WV

The state Department of Health and Human Resources is reporting six more COVID-19 deaths. There are almost three-hundred-forth new cases of the virus, and over seven-thousand active cases. The average age of those being hit with the virus is now 34.

Gov. Justice will lift mask mandate in June

Governor Justice says he will lift the mask mandate on West Virginia’s 158th birthday, on June 20th. Health experts project that, by then, 65-percent of West Virginians ages 12 to 35 will have a least one dose of the COVID-19 vaccine, and that 75-percent of the population over fifty will have at least one shot.
